Audit Manager

In this role, you will use your analytical and organizational skills, as well as aptitude in risk management and compliance to manage the auditing process. You will ensure that all financial operations and controls meet standards and are error-free.
Typical assignments will include:
Accounting / Audit Assurance
- Develop project plan and personnel scheduling
- Oversee and direct a compliant and accurate audit process
- Ensure that audit tasks are assigned to and completed by audit team members and review of working papers
- Training and evaluation of staff and seniors
- Ensure efficiency of internal controls
- Supervise and coach junior and staff auditors
- Preparation of financial statements disclosure, approval of footnotes, work papers, tax returns, management letters, agreed-upon procedures, and other attestation engagements
- Prepare statistical and account analysis. Analyze client transactions and unusual situations and incorporate the appropriate tax and accounting effect to the transaction or situation
- Recognize and resolve potential and/or existing problems with appropriate research and consulting if necessary
- Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency
Engagement / Client Management
- Manage day to day client relationships
- Serve as a member of the engagement team on specific client accounts, working as the lead on pre-engagement planning and development of final deliverables
- Acquiring strong working knowledge of client’s business while building a strong working relationship with clients to gather information and resolve problems.
- Determination of billings for engagements
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in accounting and CPA Certification

In this role, you will use your analytical and organizational skills, as well as your exceptional tax expertise. You will help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business, playing a crucial role in managing and optimizing a company’s tax-related activities.
Typical assignments will include:
Tax preparation and compliance
- Review corporate income tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company’s tax liability.
- Preparation of tax projections and assistance with quarterly or year-end tax planning.
- Ensure complete compliance with all state and federal regulations for corporate and individual (1120s, 1120c)
- Perform and guide other staff members in delivering multi-faceted assignments.
- Review staff work and provide timely and specific feedback.
- Review and/or Preparation of individual, partnership, corporate and non-profit tax returns, as needed, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Keep up to date on current tax procedures and changes in tax regulations/laws by actively participating in internal and external tax trainings.
- Identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Perform research on tax issues and filing requirements that affect tax compliance.
- Represent clients on audits and respond to any government inquiries.
Engagement / Client Management
- Develop, sustain, and manage day to day client relationships.
- Maintain responsibility for management of client’s tax deadlines, filing requirements, and analysis of billing/collections.
- Serve as a member of the engagement team on specific client accounts, working as the lead on pre-engagement planning and development of final deliverables.
- Collaborate with other managers and partners to determine client needs.

Requirements
- BS/BA degree in accounting and CPA certification
- 10+ years public accounting experience serving a tax role, preparing, and reviewing all types of tax returns.
- Comprehensive technical skills in corporate and partnership tax planning and compliance, as well as tax accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience conducting in-depth tax research and consultations on various tax matters.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate, daily supervision to a team of support staff and seniors.
- Oversee team quality control and review work performed by staff and seniors.
- Take initiative to deliver quality work products to the client with minimal direction.
- Brief client leadership on project status.
- Review draft deliverables prepared by engagement teams and present final results, including final reports, to client management.

This will include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members to manage deliverables according to plan, while also overseeing quality control throughout the life cycle of the project.
Primary Responsibilities:
